My Take:

We watched this on a family movie night recently through Amazon Prime. As a huge SpongeBob fan, MyChild was thrilled to finally be able to see this one. My husband and I were on board because the cartoons have really grown on us.

Honestly, for all the hype and delays, this movie was… fine.

Yes, it was cute. Yes, it had some funny parts. Did I LOVE that Awkwafina and Tiffany Haddish were involved? Yes, yes I did.

There are a few other surprise cast members that make the movie very fun – no spoilers, though.

Overall, I enjoyed the move, but I like The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water much better.
