Happy Friday, Y’all!
It’s Go Texan Day in Houston.
Which means the start of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
It’s also the last day of my personality test series. To see any of the other posts, they are here: Hogwarts Houses, Myers Briggs, and Love Languages.
Today, I’m talking about
Enneagram
This is the one I am newest to.
No, I haven’t been living under a rock – I was just happy with the identifiers I knew about myself – Ravenclaw, INFJ, and Acts of Service. Each of those are complicated on their own, so I didn’t really want another mucking things up. Thankyouverymuch.
But, I finally caved.
I took the free online test. (I’m sure there are better ways to go about this, but I’m cheap).
I am a 2.
Per usual, creepily accurate of my personality.
Again, this is the study I am newest to, so I do not have a whole lot of resources yet. (You should see this Pinterest Board – a million INFJ memes and ONE Type 2 picture [it’s the one above]).
Let me tell you, though, the reason I chose to finally find my type was this description of the Enneagram:
[understand the types] through [their] fundamental needs:
Type one was the need to be perfect;
Type two was the need to be needed;
Type three was the need to succeed;
Type four was the need to be unique;
Type five was the need to understand;
Type six, the need to be secure;
Type seven, the need to avoid pain;
Type eight, the need to be against;
And type nine, the need to avoid.
This is from FOR THE LOVE OF NEW BEGINNINGS: EPISODE 02 — FINDING THE WAY TO YOUR TRUE SELF WITH ENNEAGRAM EXPERT CHRIS HEUERTZ
When I heard the types spoken about in this way, it made much more sense to me.
AND… I was fairly certain I knew which type I was.
I was correct.
There are countless books and resources available if you want to know or learn more. Honestly, my favorite source for things like this is Pinterest – it can lead you where you need to go.
well, I hope you enjoyed this little series. I had fun sharing a bit of myself with you.
Let me know any of your types/houses/etc. in the comments, if you’d like.
I hope you have a WONDERFUL weekend!
