Dry Bar Detox Dry Shampoo

I love this dry shampoo. It smells good going on… but then, THE SMELL GOES AWAY. I prefer that. Most other dry shampoos I’ve tried are too smelly and it lingers. No thanks.

Dry Bar Triple Sec 3-in-1 

I mostly use this for the texturizing benefit. My hair is super slippery when it is freshly clean, so this adds a great amount of texture. Like the dry shampoo, I like the smell AND that it doesn’t linger.

Bumble & Bumble Bb. Thickening Full Form Mousse

Since college (10+ years ago), I have really loved the Bumble & Bumble products. This mouse provides nice volume at the roots and lasts.

Bumble & Bumble Bb. Does it All Light Hold Hairspray

I like this product because it is a light hold. It DOES hold my hair in updos, but is also changeable.

Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray

I love the texture this one provides AND the cut down on drying time.

It DOES dry out my hair if I use it too many times in a row, so I try to use it sparingly and/or alternate it with the Surf Infusion, which has oil in it.

Old school, all the way. Classic.

Goody Ouchless Hair Elastics

I can’t explain why, but I have found the brown or black ones work better than the colored one. They’re stronger and last longer.

Fairy Tales Hair – Tangle Tamers

This is our daily hair care resources for MyChild. The blue is used on the regular. MyChild has fine hair, but a LOT of it and this cuts right through.

Fairy Tales Hair – Rosemary Repel

Roughly once a week I use this one on her hair. I am scared to DEATH of MyChild coming home with lice. I do NOT want to deal with that. This line has rosemary, citronella, tea tree, and geranium oils in it, ALL which prevent lice AND other bugs. This helps keep mosquitoes away and [I’ve read somewhere] ticks, too.

Fairy Tales Hair – Sun & Swim

During the summer, I usually rotate this set/line into the mix once per week. MyChild has swim lessons once each week, has a pool day at summer camp each week, and hits up splash pads every chance she gets. Having dealt with green hair every summer and the horrible-smelling shampoos to help fix it, I am doing what I can to help protect MyChild’s hair before the problem starts.

Usually, MyChild has her hair in some type of updo (Houston heat and humidity). To help mix up the style options, I love these:

I am in serious need of a new shampoo/conditioner situation. I have some I use, but I am not loving the results.
