A little bit of the things I’m loving lately.
- I don’t really do “New Year’s Resolutions,” because I get bored with them quickly. That amounts to a lot of failure and non-follow-through. This year I tried Quarterly Resolutions. <– also haven’t gone very well. So, I usually end up making biweekly goals/decisions/resolutions. Currently, I am trying to work out more. I’ve upped my walking/running routine and I’ve added in this: This is such a fun workout! AND(!) it’s only 10 minutes –> much less likely that I’m going to get bored halfway through and give up (I’m looking at you “30 Day Shred“).
- The Great British Baking Show (The Great British Bake Off)
We are watching season 3 on Netflix right now, but it’s coming to PBS in July.
It’s all of the good things that Food Network used to be. Remember when they had actually fun challenges and shows where people cooked normal food, which didn’t require insects or things no one had heard of before?
I’ll just leave this here: 23 Reasons Why “The Great British Bake Off is the Best Show on Netflix
- This Mediterranean 7 Layer Dip
I made it for fun for the Super Bowl… and ate it for lunch for the next three days. It is SO good. I recently made it again, but left off the cucumbers, because I didn’t have any and I wanted this dip RIGHT NOW. 🙂
You should REALLY try it.
- When I’m working and working out I love a good driving beat… which usually comes from a decent R&B song around 100 BPM. Lately, the single album that is working well is the soundtrack to the Suicide Squad movie.
Yes, I liked the movie. I know many didn’t.
Besides, sometimes you can hate a movie and love the music. Happens all the time. 🙂
- Speaking of food…
It’s that time of year. I have been eating way too many Thin Mints. Again. (Hence the upped workout routine.) But, really, is there anything more perfect?
AND, just as a side note, they pair excellently with a vodka and Sprite, if that’s your thing.
In case that’s not your thing:
