Late Bloomers by Deepa Varadarajan is a quick read about a family who learns from each other, faces difficulties together (in the long run), and learns (together) that honesty actually can solve a lot of your problems. Definitely recommend picking this one up.

The Bloody Brick Road by Maude Royer is a disappointing horror/thriller retelling of The Wizard of Oz with a rushed ending and little horror or suspense payoff. Not really worth your time.

Hand-Fasting and Other Hazards by L.L. Campbell is a stand-alone story by the author of Tricky Magic and Tricky Princess, but the plot that was both boring at times and overwhelming and rushed at others leave this one as something of a miss.

Lost Souls Meet Under a Full Moon by Mizuki Tsujimura is SUCH an amazing reading experience. As a small series of interconnected short stories that when it all comes together, the ending is breathtaking. I HIGHLY recommend this one.
