Show Description:
Street-smart thief Nathan Drake is recruited by seasoned treasure hunter Victor “Sully” Sullivan to recover a fortune lost by Ferdinand Magellan 500 years ago. What starts as a heist job for the duo becomes a globe-trotting, white-knuckle race to reach the prize before the ruthless Moncada, who believes he and his family are the rightful heirs. If Nate and Sully can decipher the clues and solve one of the world’s oldest mysteries, they stand to find $5 billion in treasure and perhaps even Nate’s long-lost brother…but only if they can learn to work together.
My Take:

Pretty eye-rolly and a little predictable, but I still had a lot of fun.
In the vein of the other video-games-turned-movies, the likes of Tomb Raider or Assassins Creed, this movie is not an Oscar contender. But we also shouldn’t expect that. The movie is fairly predictable, but if was fun. I enjoyed just about every part of it.
Acting was really good. Casting was well done.
Look. We have Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg, Antonio Banderas, Sophia Ali, Tati Gabrielle (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) as primary characters. They each played their character exactly as you would expect that actor to do so. I think that was a benefit/asset to this movie.
The Final Verdict

My rating: 3.5 stars
Would I recommend? Yes
Fun and full of adventure – not trying to be the video game.
