Have you started hearing this yet?
Roughly half-way through summer and MyChild has apparently forgotten everything she owns and has at her disposal to work with.
I created this:
Do 2 pages of your Summer Math Journal – MyChild’s school sent home a workbook to help prevent the summer slide. In the past, I’ve purchased these.
Do 1 activity in your Summer Reading Journal – Same as the Summer Math Journal, her school sent this one home, too. I’ve used this one in the past.
Complete an entry in your Reading Journal: I created a reading journal for MyNiece and MyChild at the beginning of the summer. Printables available here!
Paint something with watercolors: We have this set
Paint a canvas – I buy these in bulk during sales at Michaels or Hobby Lobby
Create a collage: inspiration
Paint rocks: inspiration source
Draw with chalk outside
Build a building with Legos
Create a vehicle with Legos
Visit the Create Jar: I used this for inspiration
Write a letter to your cousins – built in pen-pals at its finest!
Complete one activity in IXL – This is an online worksheet platform MyChild’s school uses
Play 4 levels in Word Cookie – an app to work on spelling
Play 10 levels in ThinkRolls – Our whole family loves these games
Do 6 races of Mario Kart
Complete 1 challenge with Sparky – Sparky is the name of our programmable robot from Sphero – HIGHLY recommend
Play two songs on the piano – a work in progress. I’m slowly teaching her to play with this book.
Do a chore – Chores for Hire
Take a play bath – sometimes bubbles, sometimes too many toys to fit the child. Anything to keep her occupied for a bit.
Do yoga: Usually with videos from Cosmic Kids Yoga
